Where is my angel
Draped over the end of the day?
Someone come and save me, please
Only the sighs of a tiring day…

When you’re feeling helpless and lonely, you think there isn’t anywhere left to turn.
But the thing is, you’re not completely alone.
I’m sure there is at least one person out there who understands where you are coming from. The quiet moments as the thoughts run, stream through your mind and continue like a river along the shores of consciousness.
The mind is just a constant sea of thoughts, the waves of anxiety and paranoia crashing onto the droplets and doubt.
You think to yourself, when will the time for restlessness end and the new path begin?
It will only start once you begin to believe.
Belief is so important.
Its powerful.
You tell yourself,
“I am fine.”,
“I am strong.”,
“I am capable.”
I will get through this and so will you 🙂
I just wanna be happier
Melt me who is cold
My hand reached out innumerable times
A colourless echo
Oh this ground feels so heavier
I am singing by myself

So far, on my own journey, I’ve gone through struggles that have taught me lessons and I’ll certainly continue as new challenges arise. I remind myself often to take the time to care for myself first and then see how I can help others. In my own words, I would define my personality as one based on order and logic; so keeping things organised and clean helps me think and maintain a routine. Gift-giving and acts of services are my love language. Baking someone’s favourite dessert or sending a spontaneous message are my way of checking in and showing that I care.
My routine has been my method maintaining some control in this wild world of unpredictable factors. Its probably why I am always worried about disruptions to routine. I don’t mind change, it just makes me nervous.
A routine is a healthy way of establishing some structure in your day so you can accomplish the big things through small acts. Even washing your face and putting on your skincare is a good move 🙂
Here’s the most of my structured routine:
- Alarm goes off at 5:20AM: Pray Fajr
- Wake up at 6-7AM
- Brush teeth and skincare
- Drink water
- Exercise for 15-30 minutes (yoga, HIIT, circuits)
- Breakfast
- Get dressed for the day
- Uni work begins at 8AM : lectures, activities, pre-tutorial work. Any tutorials for the day will be rostered at certain times
- Lunch at 1-2PM
- Pray Dhuhr
- Return to work by 2:30PM
- Pray Asr at 5PM
- Continue working till dinner 6-7PM (usually 20 minutes)
- Relax for the rest of the night 🙂 – Shower, skincare, reading, Maghrib and Isha prayers!
In my spare time, I like to incorporate some self-care by watching Netflix, baking, doing my makeup and reading. My favourite way to cheer up is to start my self-care routine: skin-care, candles, BTS, Netflix, tasty snacks!!
Reading is one of my favourite hobbies and bookstagram has become a little family and light in my grey bubble.
Thanks for always being here and for engaging in the convos of my DMs xxx
